Effectively Managing Grant Activities

Each organization is different and may require more or less management of activities as required by the grantor. The list below represented the most common activates that must be managed.

  • Complying with all the terms of the contract or agreement
  • Using due-diligence in complying with the reporting requirements throughout the grant period
    • Fulfilling financial reporting requirements
    • Accounting for grant funds received and the expenditures of those grant funds
    • Conducting Grant Management process efficiently, effectively and accurately
    • Tracking program deliverables – Direct Program activities, employee and/or consultant contribution to those activities, Activity statistics and outcomes
  • Making requests for changes prior to the end of the project, grant period, if necessary
  • Submitting final reports in a timely manner
  • Following grant close-out procedures as defined by the grantor (See agreement or contract)
